Printing Pressperson and Second Pressperson

Accord Carton is seeking a full-time Folding Carton Printing Pressperson and Second Pressperson to work in our Alsip location.

This position is responsible for make-ready, running and maintaining a 6/7 color printing press using various paperboard substrates safely and efficiently to produce excellent quality products for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct the activities of the other members of the press crew.
• Trouble shoot feeder when necessary.
• Trouble shoot print problems and take appropriate corrective action.
• Make Ready press, register, color, etc.
• Handle all aspects of the press run.
• Bring supplies to press when needed.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Help wash up press units.
• Look for blanket smashes and other defects on make ready and while running.
• Track press room supplies.
• Perform the necessary maintenance and lubrication of the machinery.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.

Experience/Skills

• Three plus years of experience as pressperson or second pressperson on a multicolored litho press.
